This is my stage.
I hear people saying they avoid love, as they fear it, fear being hurt by it.
I think this is a silly notion and impossible reality, IF true love is present.
That is, love has to be given freely and without attachment, or it isn’t real love. If it is, then nothing is owed, nothing is expected in return.
That being the case, then how could one be hurt? Your love would be absolute. It would be unconditional. Nothing could harm it.
Now, with that being said, “love” that is not absolute, a lesser form, likely an “attachment” with some emotion piggy-backing along…yes that can get hurt, and quite easily. After all, it’s asking for it.
So the first question is…is your love real love? Do you love without expectation of compensation?
